Redea Institute International Conference: Reimagining Education in the Digital Era
Redea Institute (formerly HighScope Indonesia Institute), driven by a broader educational vision, remains steadfast commitment to quality education. Redea Institute believes that one of the key factors in student success lies in the quality of teachers. Redea Institute has continuously developed programs for the professional growth of teachers, administrators, and staff, consistently enhancing teaching and learning with one ultimate goal — student achievement.
This year, Redea Institute proudly hosts its 15th Annual Conference, reaffirming its dedication to nurturing professional growth and collaboration among educators. In response to the increasingly complex global challenges, the chosen theme is “Reimagining Education in the Digital Era.”
The event features a series of seminars and workshops for teachers, school leaders, and education practitioners. It serves as a platform for educators across Indonesia and around the world—from Early Childhood to Senior High School—to exchange ideas and engage in continuous learning. Through this year’s theme, Redea Institute aims to highlight critical issues such as Artificial Intelligence in classrooms, digital equity, data-driven learning, hybrid and personalized learning models, student voice, ethical leadership, and well-being in the digital context.
Reimagining Education in the Digital Era
At the heart of the Redea International Conference 2025 lies the belief that true educational transformation can only occur through collaboration across disciplines, generations, and borders. This year’s conference features Dr. John T. Almarode, author of Teacher Clarity: 4 Necessary Components for High-Impact Student Learning, Clarity for Learning, and How Learning Works: A Playbook, as the keynote speaker. Also joining are distinguished education experts such as Kenneth Shelton — educational technology specialist and Apple Distinguished Educator, and Bryan Goodwin — education author and CEO of McREL International. The insights and experiences shared by these speakers are expected to inspire participants to rethink not only what we teach, but also how, why, and to whom we teach in this digital age.
“As an institution focused on research and development for advancement, we uphold one unwavering commitment — to always provide what is best for children. To fulfill that mission, we continue to collaborate with world-renowned education experts,” said Antarina S.F. Amir, Founder and CEO of Redea Institute, in her opening remarks. “May this conference inspire all of us — educators — to keep doing what we do best: to learn, to teach, and to innovate with wisdom, integrity, and sincerity.”
Dr. John Almarode also emphasized the importance of recognizing the changing landscape of education: “As educators, we must acknowledge that our students and colleagues are facing environments very different from what we once experienced,” said Almarode, addressing the rapid rise of artificial intelligence. “No matter how advanced generative AI becomes, it is a tool — not the answer. From the Covid-19 pandemic, we learned an important lesson: teachers cannot be replaced. Technology may change, but great teachers endure.”
The International Conference also features Learning Heroes, a special sharing session by teachers from Redea Institute’s network of schools. Selected educators from Early Childhood, Elementary, Middle, and High School levels serve as speakers, sharing their teaching strategies and classroom insights with fellow educators. As an institution that continuously adapts to an ever-evolving world, Redea Institute remains committed to strengthening teachers’ competencies to provide meaningful, up-to-date learning experiences for all learners — preparing educators to face new challenges and inspiring future generations of students.
